one eye, three legs = pirate

Video:

Pickle's pirate act is coming along. He will hold up his leg pretty high and for a second or so. I started this trick at Daisy's over a week ago. The crazy thing is that he loves to play this game with me. You can see in the video he spazzes over the treats and almost can't stand still to get enough balance to lift that leg.

I am doing a similar trick with Hunda, but I went about it differently. And Hunda is just kind of blase about the whole thing, Hunda gets cooked beef liver and takes his time to chew it while Pickle is working for cardboard kibble and drools all over the place and swallows them whole. I think Hunda's trick will take quite a bit longer. I also am using a prop with Hunda, something to put his foot on and I am doing two feet instead of one. So we will see. I keep thinking that Hunda is going to start getting happy and love his trick training like Pickle and Moose do but so far he just acts like it is something else he has to do, not something he wants to do.

My guess is that Pickle is

My guess is that Pickle is less discriminative w.r.t. your timing as well - with Hunda, your timing probably has to be spot on, or he loses interest more quickly :-)
