80's heavy metal
I just finished Ethan Frome by Edith Warton. Wow. Talk about depressing, it is about true love, which I am pretty sure doesn't exist anymore. I think it used to though... Or I used to believe in it and now I don't? One or the other, not sure which. Anyhoo, the main characters try to kill themselves at the end and fail miserably. I guess if you are willing to kill yourself with someone then that is true love. And I was listening to "This American Life" on Saturday and the broadcast was about a reporter who did all these different stories. In one of them he interviewed his eleven year old daughter and asked her questions about him and his wife and thier relationship. The kid said something that pretty much made me cry, she said (and this is paraphrased), "People who love each other have fights. Otherwise how would they understand each other and get to know each other?" Which brings me to my next question, how much begging is too much begging????
The video is me running Lizzie the Lizard, a 'hunda-like' border collie. We have worked very hard to get her to sequence and not run away and I really like her, I might steal her...don't tell Kathy.
Went to see Bang Camaro at the Viper Room this weekend. My ears are still ringing. Kind of a weird band, they have like 20 lead signers??? Afterwards had to get waffles for the sobering effect...
